Electric propagator

I have picked up an electric propagator from and auction, but I am not really sure how to use it properly. Also how costly is it to use, if it going to eat electric like nobodies business, then I won't use it.

I just got mine too last Monday from Focus. It's a Shankey Growwarm 100 heated propagator and comes with a little instruction booklet. Didn't you have an instruction book with it? I'm leaving mine turned on all the time as much as I object to using electricity like this but at least the seeds are germinating so can't be helped.

Why would you 'pick up an electric propagator from an auction, but not be sure how to use it properly?' Most grapes would know exactly why they wanted a propagator, and what they were going to use it for. They would also have a very good idea of the electricity it would cost them to use it?????

The electric propagator was only part of the lot, the bulk of the lot was a couple of hundred pots and some new garden tools(which were the things I really wanted). The propagator just came with it, but I thought I would give it ago but there is no instruction booklet with it.

Is there a heating control?
If not it's a fixed temperature one so nothing to do but switch it on placed on a sunny windowsill, inert seeds in pot or tray, ensure some ventilation for sunny days and wait.

Energy consumption? Not very much. Like less than a 60 watt bulb imo as it will have a thermostat and switch itself on and off.

If you really want instructions , look at various manufacturers' websites and download instructions from them.. basicaly an electric propagator is and electric propagator =/- a temeprature control.
