12V propogator

Hope this is in the right section.

I've been looking at setting up solar system at the bottom of the garden as sparkies charge a fortune here (oh, and of course I wish to be more green).

Most panels that I see are for 12V. I know I could use an inverter - but they are notoriously inefficient, SO, can you get 12V heated propogators? - I can't seem to find any but thought someone might know of one.

I've never found one Srodders.

If you think mine is a 150w cable @240v that works out at 0.625A to acheive the same at 12v you'd need 12.5A which is going to need a hefty old battery .

I think your best bet would be a parafin lamp and a steel shelf covered in damp sand.
