  • polytunnel over half of one bed?

    Dear All,

We've got terrible blight on the allotment and I lost all the tomatoes that I planted out last year. I have a small greenhouse, (had 2 last year, but have donated one to somone on the plot who has none) but it's just not big enough for what I want to grow - all the toms, indoor cukes, chilli peppers, bell peppers, aubergines...

I was thinking of getting a polytunnel and outting it up over half of one of my beds (so about 10 feet long) over the bed and the path so I could plant some things in the soil and put some in pots on the path.

Are they relatively easy to set up? I guess I'd want to be able to move it over to a different bed each year, so I could carry on rotating. Is this feasible? And where would I buy one?

    many thanks.

I cant see it being a problem but dont forget you need to bury the skirt on either side of the tunnel and it needs to be level to keep the cover taught.
I got one of these SC680GW (White) 2x3 EZ Grow "Pro"Tunnel Greenhouse
and it was easy to put up.

PS: they have a tendency to sink into the ground a bit so put the feet onto some brick to stop it, or buy these base plates as I have Harrod Horticultural

    Cheers Chris
