  • Tunnel Door opening - in or out ?

I am waiting for the weather to improve before erecting my nice new polytunnel kit.
Meanwhile I want to decide which way the doors would best be hung. The kit manufacturers design for inward opening doors but I think I would like outward opening ones.
There must be something that I have not considered.
Would you kind people who already have tunnels please give me some advice.

Mines coming on monday. Apparently the doors are safer from catchimg the wind if they open inwards, thats the normal way to hang them
A bad days fishing is still better than a good day at work!
There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.

That's about it. Inward you lose space but the door is safe from wind interference. Outward, you gain space but have to provide a secure anti-wind arrangement.
No ads for Rennies please witty ones.

Yep - I would agree with Phreddy.

Mine are inward and I do lose space, although I was thinking this year of putting proper hinges on so I could take them off (just lift them off type of hinges) when the weather is settled. I have netting up at the doors anyway to stop birds getting in. I find that the doors are open from July to end August (weather permitting of course!).
