    Hi peeps

I am puttng up a new greenhouse, base ok, and frame now up and some panels fitted.. however the instructions are vague, and i have 2 fairly fat pieces of rubber and dont know where it goes, also those frame clip thingies the ones that are kind of a "w" ish figure, aint got a clue how to put them in..

i also had rubber piping which i have put in, but its the large rubber things that doing me nut in, they are about 5ft each in length and the greenhouse is 6x6, so that counts the roof out LOL

many thanks in advance for any help or replies.. a step by step guide would be handy if anyone knows any links?

    Hi Starplanter,

Does it have a sliding door?? My polycarb has and the 2 long rubbers fitted into a slot on either side of the door as a sort of seal. If that makes sence

What make is it? I have a Palram which was a bit tricky to put together.

        woohooo thank you mandy

that makes sense, instructions are pants and any ideas how the w clips fit into the frame? that part is doing my nut right in LOL.. also the gaps around the glazing, is it worth putting some bathroom or similar sealeant around the edges? i am a bit worried about water building up in the gaps at the bottom.

once again many thanks your a star so you are and i iz a poet and dont i know it

ETA.. its a gardman greenhouse of ebay

Not sure about the W clips as I have bar capping but if you search w clips in the search option at the top of the page as I am sure someone reacently used these.

As for sealing I am going to do it to mine. My GH blow down in the last gales and I am sure it was due to wind getting under the polysheets!

Good luck and wish me luck next week when I re build a new GH from scratch.

new greenhouse from scratch?, you building your own then or is it a new kit?

good job i loved mecano as a kid LOL, so jobs for today is fit roof glazing, and then fit seals to sliding doors and then glaze it... then maybe over the weekend fire some sealant around the glazing, still none the wiser about the w clips, mahn they is weird

anyways good luck with you new greenhouse

              Hi,

New greenhouse is a kit, to replace the one mangeled in the last gales

It is the same make as before (thanks to the nice manufacturer helping out ) Only this time I will place it in a more sheltered area and seal the polycarb sheets to be safe!

              Happy building! Mandy

Sorry I dont know about those other clips in the picture I ripped them off another website. And #i cant help with the door but I am sure I will have the same trouble when I put my 6x8 polycarb up in a couple of weeks.
Once that goes up I will have 4 greenhouses and a polytunnel on the allotment.

                    Cheers Chris

make sure you buy double the amount of spring clips and cover the panes with them as you are liable to loose the panes if you dont double the amount of spring clips used, the wind you know!!

sussed the door out, seems one has to have the door the right way around to fit the rubber seal thingies

is it okay to put gravel down over the weed fabric as a base or would this be inviting all sorts of probs?

what if i ***** the gravel every 3 months or so?

as you may be able to tell, this is my first greenhouse
