  • Inside your greenhouse

    Hi Guys

Just in the process of setting up my new greenhouse and wondered if anyone had any pictures of the insides of theirs, just wanted to get some ideas.

    Much appreciated

You really don't want to see mine! the grass is a foot high and Pippas motorised car thing that the Grandparents (may they be forgiven) gave her for Christmas is taking most of the floor space!

I might have it clear by May Day - don't hold your breath!
The weeks and the years are fine. It's the days I can't cope with!

That sounds like mine over the last year - all the floor-space taken up by 2 recumbent trikes and a unicycle.

Right now it's empty as we try to get it functional, and then I'll join in the plea for help-setting-up photos

Hmm, we dumped all the Christmas decorations in there in January, swearing that we'd find them a more suitable permanent home before the growing season. I'm using a box which contains a musical snowman as temporary staging as the real staging is covered in other tat. And I'm definitely not going to be the one to try out the fairy lights come December, I've sloshed an awful lot of water around in there since the weather picked up.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Hi I went to visit my neighbours greenhouse just this morning to get aome idea of how to set it out etc for when we get outs.
          Here's what I found...

Flourescent light at top, plus 2 openers.
Power stand with 2 plug sockets.
Slabs in middle with dirt all round the edge. Left hand side all the way along was for growing toms straight into the soil. Top edge was for growing peppers etc. Right edge was for growing other warm loving stuff. One high shelf on back wall for seedlings.
Right hand side had a table high stand, heated from the bottom, heating the seedlings/ germinators.

he said he would have loved a bigger one as it's full in the height of growing season and he has no room for a vine too. Think it was about 8ft by 6ft.

Hope this helps! It did me.

A unicycle? What do you do with the other six legs?

My greenhouse is only 6'x6' but its amazing what can be crammed in there. This link shows it last year. The centre is flagged for pots and standing on and round the edges under the growbags its rubble filled with pea gravel. It looks very neat and is easily maintained.

Here you go! Not that it looks like that any more - does anyone else find they have to 're-organise' every few days?

Aargh! The other pic is too big! Sorry. You can find it on the blog Growing, cooking and commenting in Kent
