green house heater

wanting to purchase a heater for my polycarb gardman green house 4x6

what do people use on here,as you all seem to heat your greenhouses and i am wanting to do the same same later on in the year and for next year etc

would it have to be a electric heater?

My polycarb greenhouse is only 2x4ft and I bought a Parasene Cold Frame Heater. Seems to be ok.

I use the hot air out of my tumble dryer. Vented via a hole in the garage wall.

ok amanda will take a look,also good tip with the tumble dryer,the shed cost us 450 pounds so i cant cut a hole in the side as oh would go ballistic lol

The only problem with the tumble drier option is that it will be very damp air and therefore could cause your plants to rot - ventilation will be essential.

Add to that the fact that my greenhouse is at the other end of the garden and the air would probably be cold by the time it got there....

Plus there's the small issue of having to run 40ft of vent hose up the garden.

Love the idea though NOG if you have a greenhouse close to the house, garden ingenuity at it's best.
