  • Undercover cucumbers

The cucumber plants (2) in my G/house are doing fine, first cucs forming nicely. However the 3 that I planted at the same time in my P/tunnel are a fraction of the size! And I mean a fraction, they look healthy but are so small and growing so slowly. Should I cut my losses and pull em up, or leave them for a later crop?
A bad days fishing is still better than a good day at work!
There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.

I'd leave them unless you need the space. The polytunnel may not be as warm as the greenhouse and growth will be slower.

If you had all 5 plants fruiting at the same time then you'd be drowning in cucs so a few a bit later will be a very good thing. If they're healthy, then leave them be. I find that a single plant is more than enough for me, have been giving them away the last couple of years.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
