I have an old greenhouse, brick base with wood structure on top. It was in a very dilapidated state, much glass gone but basically sound though some of the wood has rotted.
I'm trying to renovate it so have taken out all the remaining roof glass and am about to start stripping out the inside (both the wood staging and the blackberries/nettles) once I've done that I thought that I should put some form of wood preserver on the wood - do I need to be careful as to what I use any thoughts? Is there anything else I need to do to it?
Also can anyone suggest a good roofing material (not too expensive), the current glass is not even safety glass so I thought it best not to put what I have back, again can anyone suggest a suitable material?
Many thanks
Caroline
