watering system(s) for polytunnel?

Going away in a month and leaving my son in charge of the dogs, chickens and topping up the pond. Watering the polytunnel will be the straw that breaks the camel's back!

It is a 14 foot wide polytunnel with ventilation either end (has reduced mold on raspberries). I was planning strawberry baskets but need them watered - I forgot last year and have had to replant.

I have electricity in the polytunnel and a hose that reaches it from the mains water supply.

What would folks recommend and have you got links to suppliers? (Amazon or other)

Depends on what you want watered.
Claber micro system is good and drippers are adjustable for individual plants. Some sort of timer is needed e.g. this one from screwfix: https://www.screwfix.com/c/outdoor-g...tems/cat840696
On that page is a cheap and cheerful dripper system like Claber but not adjustable.
These systems are just drippers so take a while to deliver sufficient water.

For the whole polytunnel you can get a leaky hose system that will deliver drips to most of the area. Poly tunnel sellers generally have kits for different size polytunnels. I bought my polytunnel from Northern (14' wide) and got a watering system from them at the same time. It consisted of 6 hoses you can lay out at 2' intervals the length of the tunnel.

The timer would be on the tap, attach your hose and the kit should attach to the other end of your hose.

Just spent £5 on batteries to find my Hozelock AC1+ dead as a dormouse. Managed to one end of a soaker hose with a paint stripper gun and a pair of pliers though.

If you have beds you want to water a soaker hose covered in mulch would be a good option. For hanging baskets a system using drippers would work as long as you have the water pressure to push the water up that high.
