I think it is best to sweep off carefully before the weight becomes too great and rips the cover. I know that is the recommendation for snow on a greenhouse anyhoo (never had to implement it yet)

Went inside my mesh cover this a.m. to knock off the snow. What an idiot!! I looked like a snowman. My OH couldn't believe that I got underneath it to do it instead of doing it from outside. I am inclined to agree with him!!!
Had to remove the snow from the fleece covered cloche as it started to bend it. It promptly snowed all over it again so in the end I have had to take the fleece off and lay it over the veg. Will probably lose them but better than destroying the cloche supports. I am iffy about the glass in the greenhouse as it has a very pretty roof of very deep snow. OH says it will be fine. We'll see. I'd brush off what I could if I were you - just stand well back!!

Well I have been a follower. I am just back from brushing the rest off now but it is snowing so heavy that by the time I got back to the front of the tunnel it had a coating already, I will go down first thing tomorrow and get rid, Thanks again

We always leave it on, but we have commercial grade tunnels. We find it starts to act as insulation against the extreme cold we have had the last 2 nights.

I've always left it on the greenhouse, but I went in today and discovered that some plants are starting to struggle due to lack of light. It has been covered with a thick layer of snow for five days now though, which is considerably longer than normal.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

                  Hi Colin

Melted - turned to a pernicious mud – much removed now back to some form of normality!
