small greenhouse help please

I've got a small strip of land next to my (concrete) shed which I'm wanting to put a small greenhouse on. When we moved in we had one of those cheap 4x6 greenhouses with the zip on cover that was falling apart but fitted quite nicely.
I don't know whether to get a lean to one so I can make use of the shed wall for attaching trellis to or whether to get a small standard one.
Maximum size for lean to would be 5'9 wide across the wall, 7' high and coming out up to about 4'.
Standard greenhouse could be up to 4' wide and however long (any wider and I wouldn't be able to get past the house easily)

Anybody seen any good deals on this type of thing? Got to be in polycarbonate or toughened glazing as I have a little girl who'll be running round it soon (and the neighbours play football very nearby)

I'll be using it to shelter tender plants over winter and to grow toms, cucumbers and try some melons in the summer

This one seems a good deal, but the back would have to be facing the prevailing wind, not sure if that's a good idea or not?

Just had a look on focus and the polycarbonate one is about £350, not including base

Yikes, mine was £125 but it is standard glass (or whatever) - our boys are old enough to never go out in the garden

Don't worry about the base, we stood ours on a row of breeze blocks and bolted it down to them

A lean to will maximise your space under the circumstances described and will also benefit from the concrete retaining heat absorbed from the sun and release it back at night (my own is on a south facing brick wall and is worth 2-3C in winter on sunny days). However I would recommend fitting a solar vent to help control temperatures during the day in summer.

Just measured and it would JUST fit
Do you have this greenhouse? It's just that it would have to go up against a fence on one side and that seems to be the side the door is on, just wondering if the door would go on the other side?

The door can go either side just specify when you order

Try Ebay, there are loads of 6x4, lean - tos , glass and polycarbonate

From description of proposed site, Leanto, kitchengardner is spot on with why.

Also, do you have electricity in the shed?
If so its an easy job for a qualified sparkis to drill a hole and give you a light and waterproof plug for your propagator.
If not the shed is a nice staging post for doing a new electrical installation.
