Just bought a Palram polycarbonate 6x10 greenhouse from B&Q. I have searched online, and it seems as if the Palram 6x8 has the same construction.
I have constructed the frame and fixed in place all of the polycarbonate sides. I am having difficulty in putting the polycarbonate roof on.
If the plastic clips are positioned on the side of the gutter as shown in the diagram, the polycarbonate sheet fits, but the edge is inside the gutter. When it rains ( tested with hose pipe on spray) water runs not only into the gutter, but also a lot goes down the inside of the greenhouse - is this right ?
You can position the polycarbonate sheet into the second grove closer to the gutter, but the plastic clip connection is not right, and is not mechanically fixed.
You can position the polycarbonate sheet over the top of the gutter, and in fact the plastic side clips still fix it into position OK, however, you now get a gap at the apex of the roof.
So, please can someone advise me. Should I use uPVC sealant ? A photo of a constructed roof would really help. I am still waiting for Palram to get back to me on this matter.
