  • Building a greenhouse...

I've never had a greenhouse before and because of the expensive prices when I only want a tiny one I've decided to build one. I'm just wondering what material would be best to use? Polycarbonate or polythene? And if polythene is the best is there any difference between normal polythene and horticultural polythene? I'm insulating it with bubble wrap so is there any need for a heater as I can't find a suitable power source to use for one, I can't find any battery operated or solar powered you see!

    Thanks,

if you look on the our lottie sites webpage (see below) there are some plans to make one from wood & plastic.

Can I offer a compromise solution, make it with sheeting in mind but cover it poly this year. Horticultural poly has a UPVC protective in the mix so it lasts 5 years or so, ordinary plastic would be useless in no time as the UV from the sun will break it down. As to sources, try NA Kays or Plastic by post they both have websites
