They're completely different to grow in so you'll need to get used to them. but once you;'ve got the hang of it I'm sure you'll be OK. I bet that sewer rat and the other PT owners will give you the benefit of their experience.

Both are great and I think adaptable, depends on what you intend using it for? You also have the safety issues you have highlighted, what about a polycarbonated greenhouse if you are feeling a poly is not for you.

I started with a poly, imhe great for growing toms, peppers, aubs etc, Its fab for extending the season for different crops and for others, keeping them going all year.It benifits having early crops eg peas, beans, potatoes, lettuce, strawbs to name a few. Useful for raising vegies/flowers indoors to give them a head start before planting out.

I also now have a greenhouse(which I love), passed on from a family member, which I use mainly for growing toms chillies and the like and bringing on seeds. Its more structured with the staging for seedlings and I provide a little heat to keep frost free which lets me overwinter more sensitive plants and grow on toms, chillies etc a bit earlier and saves all the trips up and down the garden to bring theings in at night when frost threatens.

Either way a great growing space
