I am a newbie gardener, having just done tomatoes last year on my deck. During the autumn I bought a 4 tier one of these. TIP #1 - fix it to a wall - there are hooks at the top of the frame, and as everyone has pointed out they are prone to blowing over - once fixed they wont go anywhere (mine's tied to the fence).
TIP #2 - Assuming they all have the sort of wire mesh shelving, I've just cut one of the shelves in half with pliers, meaning I can slide it across and grow taller plants on one side (toms until they're ready to go out).
TIP #3 - mine has four shelves, but there are holes in the frame that could fit another shelf right at the top - I cut bamboo to create new supports at the top, and moved the shelf from the bottom - now I have a shelf right in the roof, great for germination!
I'll try and post pics later.

Hey nice mum you got there, they are fine for what they cost i'd be lost without mine. They are great esp if new to growing as they dont cost much and if you stop growing your own then you havn't spent a fortune on a greenhouse
Graybag i'm about to cut my shelves in half, well, 1 or 2, i have seen some the bigger ones with split shelves .
