Risk a chill or risk cooking?

I can't be sure of being about for a day or two next week to ventilate my 6X6 greenhouse.
I'm guessing that it is better to leave the door and window slightly open and risk it being cool, than to risk the weather being hot and sunny and baking everything?

I have the same problem Compost. I do have an automatic vent though so that helps.
What I have decided to do when I go away for a week is to leave the door propped almost half open. Hedging my bets, but what else can we do if there isn't anybody around to do it for us. My thinking is that it is best for them to"chill" a bit rather than be baked.

I quite happily leave my door shut but have auto openers on both the widow and vent and shading on the hot side. Wouldn't risk leaving the whole thing shut up though at this time of year.

I am always away for one day a week, so I leave my greenhouses open. They have shading too, or else they really overheat on a sunny day

It also depends on where your greenhouse is, even on a really hot day in summer mine doesn't get that hot with the air flow through the vent and window but I know that some people on here seem to be getting temps of about 40C even with the door open!
