  • So excited...

... I just hope I don't sound too 'smug' or anything.

I haven't been growing my own very long because of several circumstances but I now love it, especially growing tomatoes of all shapes, colour, sizes.

After several disasters with plastic and then polycarbonate greenhouses my partner bought me a 'proper' 8 x 6 green house and it's my pride and joy. But because of my obsession with tomatoes it's always over full.

So, I bit the bullet, scraped through all my piggy banks etc and have just taken delivery of my 2nd green house - this time an 8 x 8. It came yesterday so I'm just hoping the weather will ease a bit and let us get it put up this weekend.

Good on you- bet you can't wait to get it up and running and i'm guessing you've already decided on what you're doing with the space?!

Well if you saw my 8 x 6 one at the moment you could make a good guess :-) I think all the tomatoes that are growing in there will give a sigh of relief when they get their own space.

well the weather was kind to us and we were feeling pretty pleased with ourselves Saturday night as we had the base down and level, the main frame work all bolted together and fixed.

We were confident we'd have it all done Sunday. The doors were fitted together, windows built and in - just the glazing to do!!! All those miles and miles of rubber stripping later and it's the end of another long day. Ah well just the glass to go in next weekend then.
