  • Just a little tight !

As in my previous thread I promised I would post some photos of how tight the space is in which I slotted my greenhouse into.
Ive just finnished glazing the sides which was fun dont know wot I would of done without my glass sucker made handling the glass so much easier.
Its still in its early stages still lots more work to do yet I will post more pics as it develops

    Oh my!!!!!

well done- can't imagine how you got the clips in etc!!!

Nice bright white walls will help with the light though ( I presume you'll be able to remove the glass for cleaning the panes and repainting the wall from time to time??)

What are you intending growing in there?

    I'm impressed- well done!

Funny enough the clips were fairly easy to get in just enough room to squeeze my arm down the side of it working a section at a time.
The down side of it being so tight when it comes replacing the glass and painting the wall I will have to take all the panes out on the sides and roof of the green house the back of the green house isnt a problem as there is a gate that leads onto the front drive.
As for cleaning I cant foresee any major problems but im sure a sponge on a long pole to remove stuburn stains along with a jet wash to remove any moss or algae will work I hope.

As for growing im hoping to grow a mixture of fruit and veg along with some flowers.
Dont think I will be using it much this year, though will be using to over winter some of the garden plants.

Jings ! that is a tight space Mr Toggs. It must have been quite a squeeze to get in there and get the work done. And the space will be just at tight when it comes to the maintenance - but you can do it. Hope you get great crops. What are you planning to grow ?

It was space that wasnt used was going to put the dog round there but changed our minds.
Ive only got a small garden so every bit of space is well used where I can
We havent used the gate in years was going to brick it up but decided not to as it will act as a service gate to the back of the greenhouse
Where theres a will theres a way we didnt think it would fit ourselves but we managed to squeeze it in there.
The lights pretty good round there it does have some shade later during the day so the plants wont get cooked.

All credit to you for squeezing that greenhouse in such a narrow gap. Personally I would have just run some polycarbonate from the wall to the house.

I'm looking forward to the video of you cleaning the glass.

WOW - that is a very impressive use of space.

One of my favourite sayings (usually aimed at OH when I want something which he thinks is impossible/impractical/silly) is "never under-estimate a determined Hobbit".

I think this should now be amended to "never under-estimate a determined Toggs!"
