  • What should I cover my greens with?

Are those polytunnels (like the ones you get at plantsbypost) any good? It does get quite windy in our garden, but I'd like to overwinter some oriental brassicas, spinach and things. I'm only growing in a raised bed 3 foot deep (as in from me to the wall).

    Ta!

    Hi sonata,
I was given some old voil and it works perfect, It might look silly but it keeps late cabbage whites off, It's buried 3" into the soil so slugs can't get in and I've got a good overlap at the top so I can water without having to dismantle it every time, I have my kale, red cabbage and cauliflowers under it, I'll take it off when they get big..... I can hear you laughing

        Oooh that looks lovely.

What do you use as a support? There needs to be some sort of framework..

I had 6 strong 6' wire cane's, I bent them at a 90 degree angle (4' up,to leave a 2' piece at the top) then bent over the tip 1", then I bound the tip end to the long stem that was left and made a frame..sounds complicated but it wasn't, if I can do it , anyone can. Or you could just buy a frame.
