Bex, we got two of the Sankey ones from Wyevale for £12.99 each, after seeing the price you had quoted, so thanks very much for the info! We've also already got 8 unheated propagators, I've now banned Mr D from the garden centers, we could propagate almost 400 seeds in individual seed trays if we wanted or needed to now!

I started with a little one that takes full tray (two half etc.) and last year picked up one of the windowsill jobbies that takes seven quarter trays via an offer in the magazine (£27.50 inc p+p instead of £30+ excl p+p). Very happy with both. The one with seven trays came in very handy for different varieties of chillis/peppers/toms all together. And it is slim enough to sit on a window sill. (unlike me!!)

Thank you for the reference sewer rat, bit the bullet and bought one of those windowsill propagators from Two Wests - as you and Nick say, good for sowing little & often, and for lots of varieties. Can't wait!
