That's cool, I've been thinking how I can net my beds (neighbour feeds birds, loads are always around... also for some pest-proofing..
Question though - how do you get to the middle of your beds? Just step on the soil? I wanted to make wider beds, but have read about keeping off the soil?
Thanks.

What a great idea to use those clips. I can see that hoop system being a good way of protecting carrots as well, with a simple cardboard end tied on.
I found some of these clips at the hardware store at a bargain price a couple of years ago and got the idea to use some of them to put a hose at a raised level along the fence to my greenhouse. At a stroke the foxes stopped chewing the hose that ran along the ground - that made life a lot easier.

I use the piping in 8ft x 4ft beds .I use polthene dust sheets from lidl which overlap the ends and can be gathered with velcro cable straps to seal the ends .I am consigering using debris netting the same way this year for my brassicas, anyone know a good supplierdon't be afraid to innovate and try new things

This was a previous thread around cages. The cheapest pace for debris netting is ebay.
