Never built this model, but having a socket set or a ratchet spanner helps but not required.

take it slow and spend your time getting the frame sorted and in postion, as once the glass is in, you cannot make adjustments easily. Wear gloves and glasses when working with the panes please, a pane can be replaced, but an eye or your fingers cannot.

I leave the bolts a little bit loose so that I can squre up the frame then lock them up. I also put the roof glass in first incase the ladder slips and for easier access. Good luck and All the best.

    Where in Hertfordshire are you?

I got a greenhouse from these people - excellent service. They provided a list of people who constructed greenhouses for a job. I AM SO SO SO!!!! glad I got someone to do ours. Ok it cost - but it is a one off and I know that it is up, will stay up and had been done well (even my pops commented on how well it had been done and he MR. Engineer/pick fault at everything type of person).

Now there goes someone who has done this before ! Sound advice Redthorn. The only thing I can add is make sure the base is square and level and build up from there.
Lay out all the framework and make sure it tallies in with the instructions.
Even if you do the framework on Saturday and the glazing on Sunday you will have still done well.

        Good luck !

This is an old one but I marked each piece to corispond with the instructions.
              A) It confirms all parts are there.
              B) It makes it a lot easier when erecting.

Oh well done for doing it yourself. I bought a little one from them last year; my OH and I unpacked it, looked carefully at the instructions, looked carefully at one another and said "let's get a man in"! We used the local person recommended by the Greenhouse People and he was excellent! And although mine is only 6 x 6 (no room for anything bigger) it has been wonderful! Love it to bits. Enjoy!

I will post pics as soon as i can work out how to transfer them from my phone to the computer..bit of a technophobe

Mine is also a 6x6 as we have no room for a larger one....although in my dreams it is twice the size.

Congrats on managing to build it, I know how hard they can be. My mother and I got the 8' x 6' Popular from them at the end of October and we managed to get it up in one day with only a couple of strops from me. Still trying to get it a bit more watertight though.
