  • Can you put manure in the greenhouse?

We've finished clearing out and cleaning our greenhouse, but the soil is looking a bit jaded (we've only been in the house 6mths, so have no idea whether the soil has ever been changed).

Since we can't afford to change the soil in the g/house, could we put manure (which we have a large, free supply of) on top of the soil until we are ready to start growing and then dig it in?

    Cheers

    Of course you can.

You might need a gas mask to go in there after mind.
Also if it is fresh you will find the condensation level rising a bit.
Always thank people who have helped you immediately, as they may not be around to thank later.

I do in the autumn and then dont venture in again until about now. It really helps hold onto moisture in the beds as well.

If you use really fresh stuf you could make a hot bed & use it for early crops
