about to change soil in my green house

is there any way aroung changing all the soils in my green house? last year i had some mosaic virus (i think) and so i was told to change the soil but my g.houes is 20ftx12ft and i grow from the groung using no pots grow bags ect so there allot of soil... please help!

It depends whether you're insistant on growing in the bedsoil or not? If so you need to change it anyway after a few years as it becomes 'tired'.

I grew for three years in my bedsoil with diminishing returns until the last couple of years where I have just stood compost filled flower buckets (bought cheaply at Morrisons) on the original bed soil. Once the roots get down and through the holes in the bottom of the bucket it helps to anchor plants and gives them access to underground water.

Other alternatives are paving (expensive) , covring with pea gravel and adopting a ring culture regime (or you could just grow in pots.)
A polythene barrier between the soil and the pea gravel would give a self contained environment.

I tend to change one border each year - however my greenhouse is a mere 6 x 10 so not so much hard work!
