Does this look like it would be useful to have or does it seem too flimsy? For starters, I'm interested in moving onions that have been germinated inside into it. Can anyone see any problems with that?

I've had autumn sown onions under one of those all winter.

Impossible to say without comparing like-for-like in person but I've had an apparantly identical setup from Poundland. It wasn't amazing quality but it lasted well for a season (and it was only a pound!!!). Maybe worth looking around if you have some discount shops locally?

Watch the poles! I had one from Lidl last year and managed to snap one of them

I was given a 6m long one for Christmas; obviously not used it yet. Will be interested to see other comments.

I've used a similar one (£9.99 from B&Q) on the lotty this year for brassicas. It's been very durable and kept cabbage whitefly at bay. Sometimes a bit of a bind having to lift in order to water the plants, if the cover isn't permeable, but otherwise I'm happy with it.

Right, I think I'll go for it. Seems enough people have had some success for it to make it worthwhile. Thanks!

Gan...I took these at the lottie today.

Outside the little tunnel, and inside. They look quite cosy in there

No chance; I just sneaked the phone in and snapped.
