    Hi all,

I have done a search and not really been able to put a finger on the information I am after, ie which are the ones worth buying??

I have a space down the side of my conservatory and was looking at the ones which are only a growbag deep, full height (I am 6ft tall) and about 1.5m wide.

    such as these....

WALK IN MINI GREENHOUSE PLASTIC SPARE REPLACEMENT COVER on eBay (end time 02-Feb-10 11:41:08 GMT)

They are quite cheap for a first go at the greenhouse side of things and also can't fit a full size one in the space I have. They are for tome and chillis.

    space show below !!

    Regards,

    Graham

You do realise that link is for a cover only right, not a frame?

Do you know how much they go for with a frame? I might be looking for something like that myself.

I got mine for A £20.00 in Argos but that was last year summer. There great for spring and summer but are a bit fragile and useless in winter

I had one from B&Q it cost £35.00 really good and sturdy, I grew my tom's, cucumbers etc in it, its the thick plastic one from gardmen 6'x4' very easy to put together, not brilliant in winter though, they sag with the weight of the snow, other than that I'd recommend them. My neighbor's one collapsed under the weight of the snow...very funny, she was in it at the time. She'd had it 2 years though.

I had the larger version of thse a few years ago. A very important thing to remember THEY BLOW AWAY EASILY!!

However, I grew lots in mine, so as long as you can anchor the cover well, go for it.

They work fine. I used to used mine in virtually the exact same manner. As mentioned above, They do blow over VERY easily I would suggest drilling rawl plugs into the brick wall put cup hooks in then attach the greenhouse to them Also paving slabs on the bottom shelves for added support and rigidity

Have a look in Wilkonson's too, cannot find on their website, but saw them instore

Reviews for the Gardman here: Amazon.co.uk: Customer Reviews: Gardman Compact Walk-in Greenhouse (Inc Shelving)

I do remember it being voted "best" plastic greenhouse 2 or 3 years ago. Basically none of them are going to last very long.
The cheapest £10 ones last less than a season in my very windy garden, and the B&Q £17 one lasted 2 seasons before the cover completely ripped.

                      Plastic Greenhouse

That's a good price for the Gardman greenhouse, I'm sure they were £50 when I was looking a short while ago. Definitely go for one with the reinforced cover rather than the clear one as they last much longer.

I've had one for the last 2 years - well, when I say one, I mean two and neither of them have lasted more than 6 months ! Imho you are better buying something like this rather than throwing £20+ away each year!!

wooden growhouse - Google Product Search

However this year I am going to get one of the palram greenhouse from B&Q - even if my garden is only little, It will be worth it

I think that's what I've got. 6ft x 2ft. Was on one of their mad sale days. I bought mine for £20 a few years back.
