It doesnt get great reviews on the B&Q website to be honest, but I know some people on here recommended it as a good cheap starter greenhouse....We just need to make sure we seal the polycarb panels in properly....I would've loved a glass greenhouse, but with 2 kids under 6, its not the best idea

Right, 2 x mini walk in greenhouses bought, (the last twon in shop). I will be tying them down well before use and should be fine for my first season to see how the area goes. If it's ok I will contemplate building one in the space I have next year.

Can't wait for my toms and chillis to go in now

I tied my best one to the downpipe - the wind picked up and twisted the whole frame, and ripped the downpipe off the wall

A full watering can or a bag of compost on the bottom shelf is as good as anything. Sure, you lose a bit of growing space, but the alternative is to lose the whole lot to the wind.

I used old paving slabs to secure mine, it worked really well and I didn't lose any space

Mine's still there 2-3 years down the line. I simply screwed mine onto the Railway Sleepers we've got down as decking and it hasn't moved. One of the panels has "popped out" a little bit, but I've simply popped it back in.

              For £20 I can't complain.

Hi, I've just bought a fairly decent sized plastic walkin greenhouse from Wilkinsons for £40 and have secured it to the fence so it doesnt blow away. I've also put an old shelving frame from a smaller greenhouse inside to give more shelf space and lots of old bricks I had lying around the garden to hopefully give off some heat in the evenings. Having grown my leeks on the window sill for a good few weeks I have now transported them to the greenhouse and all doing well so far - only thing I would say about these greenhouses is to watch if you have a cat as they do like to climb up the plastic when you are inside which my moggy did this morning piercing the plastic cover several times whilst trying to use it as a scratch pad!!!!

Lidl have one now for £40. It comes with guy ropes so you can tether it. I'm going to use screw in goat tethers.

Hi, I have just bought that greenhouse from Wilco's £40 seemed like a bargain and so far so good, I have placed mine in the patio which is quite sheltered so not much chance of it blowing away, but will be securing it with brick just to be sure.

Has anyone ever tried to heat a plastic greenhouse, I am straining at the leash to get going but it's still very chilly out there. Or should I just pull the reigns is and learn to be patient lol

If you're gonna get one of these things try to get a make that does replacement covers.

Then when the cover rips (which they all do eventually) you don't have to buy the whole thing again (I looked into this and I don't think Gardman do replacement covers).

This site has a good selection of mini greenhouses and spare covers:

Most Gardman stockists should carry a selection of replacement covers. They also do a fleece cover for added frost protection and I think it works quite well as a kind of coolglass in the height of summer.

You may not find them at the multiples but the garden centres will stock them.
