Greenhouse for the Allotment

OK boys and girls i have just ordered the greenhouse Christmas gift for me where would the best place be to put it,sorry if that's a silly question,I thinking the far end of my allotment as that end get's most sunlight during the day and is close to the shed and compost bins.

Sounds good to me, full sun is best.

Although light is important, so is security. Bear in mind that kids love throwing stones at greenhouses and consider placing as far out of mischief as possible.

I've just bought a Gardman 6x4 Greenhouse for £209 including delivery and it arrived next day. I got it from Greenhouses UK - All Leading Brand Greenhouses as they had them in stock. I'm going to get some staging from them in the new year and probably a heater (definately) !

I have two 8ft x 6ft greenhouses at home plus a 6ft x 6ft. I also have a 10ft x 8ft on my allotment and I haven't had to pay for any of them. It has cost me a few bob for replacement clips and fixings but well worth it. It's amazing how many people out there want rid of greenhouses. I even managed to get a whole greenhouse of replacement glass from someone who was fitting poly carbonate as a safety measure. Long live freecycle and the freebie advertising mags

I've been given a 8ft x 6ft greenhouse for my allotment plot, I hope to get it up before next spring
What kind of base are you going to use? I've not made my mind up yet..

That's the problem i've got at the moment i need to sort it out,the council wont let put any thing in that you carn't removed if you are asked or decided to give up your plot.

So i cart bulid a base from brick or concrere,so i am planing to bulid a wooded frame of say 4x4 timbers and add some how some legs to drive into the ground that way i can level it and if needs be remove it,well thats the plan it should work
