so after only 4 days of building and 2 smashed pains later it's up.

spent most of the afternoon filling it with seed trays and trying to stop the kids from breaking the louvres.

      loving it already

Blimey, that reminds me - more years ago than I care to remember, I spent the entire Easter weekend helping my Dad build his GH. It was a long weekend....

Mine came just after Xmas, but I've been unable to erect it. A Man Who Can arrives next weekend, and I can't wait (just a little worried that my patio isn't big enough)

          Hello and welcome.

Have you got anything started on your windowsills?

toms, chillis, aubergines, sunflowers all currently on the windowsills and upsetting the other half. also half a dozen dahlias sitting on the kitchen floor, trying to be a bit more patient this year so i've yet to plant the cucs, beans, courgettes, sweetcorn and squashes
i'll probably move the toms and sunflowers into the greenhouse in a couple of weeks and leave the rest in the house.

greenhouse has several trays of onion sets, various salad leaves, beetroots, peas, carrots and parsnips, all of this was sitting outside until today. i'm sure the extra couple of degrees in temperature will go down well. approximately 24 feet of integral staging close to being full on day 1. no wonder the advice is always get as bit a greenhouse as money and space will allow (went for an 8x12 in the end)

You want a really nasty, wet day to get the best out of your GH. I LOVE being in mine when it's like that
