I got one of these two years ago and it has been a good buy. I had to put a log or similar on top to stop it blowing open as there is only a support to hold it up, no locking system. I have got a windy site so if you are sheltered you may not need to.

I have just bought one from Lidl and I had the same problem as oldie - there isn't any way of securely closing it so I have put a stone on top of mine to hold the lid down. Having said that, it was very easy to make and it does have some tent peggy things to hold it down in the ground. I'm quite pleased with mine.

They are great, take care when you put it together, do it on a flat surface if possible as this will help slot everything in correctly. I can confirm that these things will do a Mary Poppins if not secured properly! I used longer tent pegs rather than the puny ones supplied.

I've bought one of the Lidl ones for use in the polytunnel in cold weather to give extra protection. Not used it yet though but at least it won't be able to blow away.

I bought one from Aldi last year and love it!

Just beware of men using strimmers though. For some reason they can't see what's in front of them and damage prized possessions aka my coldframe. (Patched up and still on the go though)

Hmmmm, do they all do that? Mine managed to strim an entire bed of bolotti beans claiming that he'd not seen them!

I did wonder how warm they kept, as opposed to the wooden frames with glass lid?
