  • Mini Polytunnel cloche from pound shop

I got given 3 mini polytunnel cloches. Best described as a polytunnel for extremely small people!

They are not very thick so I don't expect them to last long, but one has been outside for a couple of weeks and is fine.

My question really is, should the ends be blocked?
As I have 3, I was thinking about putting them in doughnut shape.

    What do you all think?

If they're plastic, you need some air-flow, so keep the ends open. It'll get steamy inside if we ever get some warm sunshine.

Personally, I think they're a waste of money: they rip within a year, and then end up in landfill. I'd rather pay a bit more for a quality product (or use voile as a reusable fleece).

I saw them today on my trip to Poundland and gave them a miss, look far to flimsy, but thats just my opinion :-)

        Maybe, but not mine

I'm surprsied the one that was put out has lasted this long and I don't expect it to last for years, but it seems to be holding its own.

With the open ends, wouldn't it be an open invite for Nutty and Tufty to shelter in when it rains and have a bit of snack?

They're very flimsy. The plastic is very thin - may last a season if you're lucky, and the supporting hoops are thinner than the old-fashioned wire coat hangers. OK, they're only £1, and as TS says they will end up in landfill.
