Mine is ordered - yippee! Just need to find someone to build the base (it's a big one :-) ) - it needs the ground levelling, 2 tree stumps taking out, then the surround building (concrete type moulded things) ready for installation...
    Can't wait!!

We bought our 8x6 greenhouse 27 years ago - from Tesco - when we moved here.

Apart from replacement of auto vents and a few panes of glass it has been trouble free..

So you can say the cost can be spread over 25 years: you can always sell it if you grow tired of it: lots of demand.

There is nothing like a freshly pulled tomato or a home grown strawberry in April - not to mention the flowers etc...

I just splashed out and bought a 2nd 8x6 as we love the 1st one so much
Mine just set me back 289.95 with delivery etc included.
It's the one at the top on this page Metal Greenhouses and Metal Growhouses at Low Prices | GardenBuildingsDirect
I would definitely go for the biggest one you can fit and afford and have it at home if possible.

                  nope not yet, but.....

someome I know is elling their house and has a 10x8 one, he wants around £150-200 for it if the buyers doesnt want it, but the good think is that he knows how to take it down and put it back up and has offered to help me get it to the allotment

Couldnt have it at home, that would be my entire garden

So I'm going to wait for the time being and see.

On the plus my failed polytunnel has been replaced by the supplier, so I will see how that works in the meantime.

in the meantime, please post any decent ones, as looking at them online isnt that same as getting a recommendation on the quality.

                  Thanks

I bought this one on friday.
Palram Silverline Polycarbonate Glazed Greenhouse - Metal Greenhouses - Garden Buildings Direct

It's the 6x8 one and it will arrive on Thursday. I already have the same one in green which I got 2 years ago from the same people. Silver is a bit cheaper but wasn't available back then, hence the colour change.
I would definitely recommend this model, mine has been great and according to my OH who put it up, and last week put another one up for a friend, they are pretty easy to assemble unlike some models.
