  • Letting the frost in?

Since its now lovely and frosty (we've had no snow yet!) should I open my greenhouse up to the cold weather? There are only 2 dormant grapevines in it currently.

I was thinking that the cold might kill the last of the bugs/nasties that my suplhur bomb didn't?

Is it worth opening it up for a couple of days?

    Thanks

As long as you have no plants or seedlings in there I would give it a go. The sulphur "bomb" should have killed off the baddies, but a good airing probably wouldn't go amiss. If greenhouses are kept closed for any length of time you tend to get moulds or moss growing cos of the damp atmosphere. Even when you're growing stuff you need to keep the air buoyant by ventilating.
