  • Leaking greenhouse

Hi, we have just had a Silver Line Palram 10x6 greenhouse put up by our friend/handyman as we didnt think we were up to the job. It has polycarbonate side panels and un-usually twin-walled roofs. Unfortunately it leaks - around the screw/nuts it is dripping in. Has anyone out there got one of these greenhouses and had the same problem please? Our friend is coming back to sort it out but in the meantime if anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful - incidentally the instruction book shows polycarbonate panels but I knew it was the twin wall and he didnt seem to have any trouble fitting the roof. Unfortunately we got it from a french web-site/garden centre here in France and my french is not very good, thanks,

Well, mine leaks a bit and it has never been a problem. I have a plastic sheet on the ground and poke the occasional hole in it for the rain to drain out of. What do you have on the ground? I don't imagine a lot of rain is coming in?

My GH is completely twin wall and I used clear silicone around the edges of all panels - because once the winter winds arrive if everything isn't secure the PC sheets will ping out and end up half a mile away. This also stopped any leaks, if yours is leaking around the fixings then I'd suggest just a dab of silicone around each screw etc when it's dry.
