That sounds a good bargain! I was in B&Q yesterday and they didn't have any greenhouses. I wonder if they only do them at certain times of year, or if I just need another branch

I was going to go for the bolt it down to slabs approach with the Greenhouse People's own base. I suppose it can still flex - in a horizontal twisty way - , but my garden's not exposed so I'm hoping that shouldn't be too much of an issue

Very easy site, it is set up so you can pick and choose what features you want such as toughened glass, or extra vents etc.. and it gives you a total price, then if you want to add or remove stuff it adjusts the total automatically.

          Very good service, no problems.

Yes, I've been seriously considering them, glad to hear they're a good supplier. Now I just have to stop procrastinating and pick a model!

Our B&Q had some in their garden sectionb yesterday. Look like re-labelled Halls Popular (as well as others). Prices looked OK - £109 for the alu frame bit, I think £50 or so for the base. i didn't see the glass, but I'm guessing they'll be somewhere. It's a bit irritating as they don't show all the models on their website, so I ended up ordering mine from Tesco Direct (Halls 6x8 popular) for £345 with the base and horticultural glass.

we got a greenhouse off freecycle and it was a nightmare to take down, unscrew get in the van etc (borrowed van) then we had to put it all back together, my husband is now bald!!!

we had to go and get new clips etc as most were rusted through and some glass did suffer and had to be replaced.

hubby was not happy for days!!!

so it was worthwhile and i was sooo happy to have it but its lots of stress and headscratching as well

he would have happily taken the same decision as yours!!

i can see both views but 'he' did most of the work and felt most of the hassle and stress along with a cut finger!!

What i found useful was measure out in the garden the space your chosen few will take up, it is always smaller that you realise... it give you an insight into if rain butts will be in the way, and where downpipes will drain water too.

I got quite few extras from them at the time of ordering, Down pipe set, extra vent in roof, louver vents, toughened glass, base... cost a peep over £400.
But it was mostly Xmas money, and i saved up. Did it all myself and wouldn't be without it now.

At the time i had been searching free-cycle and the paper for an unwanted one but there have not been any.

The main reason i chose them was I had seen them at several gardening shows and they had bought lots of display models.

They have a showroom in Stoke-upon-trent where they are based.
