  • Windbreak query

Long time since I have been on here. Simple reason became a Dad and now have moved. The good thing is after all those years of wanting a big garden I have inherited a 300 foot garden, untended for 30 years, and awash with weeds (see photo after clearing). I have had some oversized laurel hedges removed and will replace eventually with hornbeam or espalier fruit. In the mean while I am the victim of winds that are battering my peas and I want to know if anyone can advise a good supplier of windbreak material by the metre? I know there are alot of suppliers but there are many charlatans who send you bad material e.g. used and ripped. So any advice on this would be really appreciated.
    Best wishes

Try Buy discount gardening equipment online - Garden Warehouse they supply loads of stuff. I bought scaffolding debris netting off them and delivery was really quick and price reasonable. This can be used as shade netting and cuts the wind down a bit - though they probably have other stuff which is more suited to windbreak use.
    Happy Gardening,

        Hi Andrew
I was just wondering about you the other night - I knew you were going to be a dad at the start of the year, so CONGATULATIONS
Garden sound like what you've hankering after for a long time too.
I bought my windbreak netting from LBS Garden Warehouse - have a look at their website - they sell absolutely everything and are very reasonable.
