I have a semi automatic door opener

I think to myself --- its hot.
Ring the wife and tell her to open the door.
It never fails

I have text teenager son on "study leave" before now also works well!

Much simpler to put extra louvre vents replacing bottom panes. Fitted with automatic openers they control temperature and ventilation beautifully without any risk attached to leaving doors open.
