  • a greenhouse reborn

had my plot since october, after waiting 8 years, and was very lucky to land on a 10 X 12 greenhouse on ebay for £50. also got 2 sheds off the same bloke for £40.

Ive spent the last few weekends levelling, laying a block foundation, rebuilding the frame ( so glad I numbered all the parts with marker pen), and finally spent 3 days cleaning all the glass which was coated with triffid residue and algae.

was going to polycarb it but it would have been over £250, so just did the roof with it, as it is harder to get at to reglaze, and will lgive better heat loss properties.

for this year Ive gone for growbags over weed block, may put borders in next year but will see how it goes, anyway finally got toms, chillies, peppers, and cucumbers planted out tonight.

On the plot Ive also got 6 varieties of spud, shallots, yellow and white onions, dwarf beans, peas, brocolli, sprouts, sweetcorn, strawberries, and currants. Quite proud of myself as a first timer. Betsy is the frog hunting border terrier in one of the pics

    enjoy the pics

        Looks good
I recommend some shading over the Greenhouse, you dont want to lose any plants after all that hard work

thanks, it has been hard work so far, but I wanted to get some crops in this year- can relax for a week or two now and just water and weed. what shading is recommended- dont really want to paint the glass after spending a solid few days cleaning it all
