Hi there,
Congrats on your new polytunnel!
I'm not a growing expert, but what the experts do tell me is that July/August is an ideal time to be sowing the following seeds under cover....
Cabbage (in cooler areas of the polytunnel), radicchio (although they prefer cooler weather, so you may want to hang on a while), rocket, leaf lettuce, turnips, coriander, pak choi, and parsley seeds (into pots or trays of moist compost for a winter supply).
I hope this gives you some food for thought!
Let us know how you get on.
Deborah (Premier).

To be honest my polytunnel is too hot at this time of year to sow much in the way of seeds in and I always sow my brassicas on some outdoor staging unless it's actually freezing. Same goes for salad stuffs as they just seem to bolt if they get too hot. I was fortunate enough to get mine up for the summer season and I don't have anything starting in there at the moment. However I will be planting out a load of stuff in the autumn for overwinter growing.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
