Hi, i'm hoping someone can help me out with a greenhouse that we've rescued from the bottom of the garden
For those of you that don't know i've just taken on a massive garden that has spent years overgrown with brambles & wild rose. Now that it's been cleared we have discovered a rather nice green house, which i am hoping to use in the new year. The problem is i don't know how to get it ready, so that it functions correctly & does'nt harbour any pests/germs/fungus etc. So heres my questions for you:
1. Some of the brambles have grown into the greenhouse & damaged the rubber seals between the panes of glass. The panes themselves are completely intact, what would be the best way of resealing the? i was thinking some sort of clear silicone sealent like what you use in bathrooms.
2.I was going to give everything a good sweep out & wash down with jeynes fluid. What else can i use to get it clean for growing? i saw some sulphur candles at our local hardware shop that said it was good for disinfecting greenhouses. Should i get one or is there something better?
Sorry for the long post, but i am totally lost. I've never done any growing before and i don't want to start it all off with a duff greenhouse if it can be avoided. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you
Jen
