Eldery wooden GH needs a spruce up. Advice please.

Hi,
This is our first summer in a new house and with it came a decent-sized wooden greenhouse. The previous owner only repaired some cracked pains with sealant so I need to replace them. The wood could do with treating too. Are there special products to use? Is there a way of reducing the risk of killing myself by falling through the glass when I paint the exterior structure?
Are there any other annual jobs I need to undertake, once my toms and green beans are finished for the year?

If the cracked panes have been repaired I would leave them. Sealant is OK. As for painting the frame, just be careful. How big is the greenhouse??
