    Hi.

To answer your earlier question Two Sheds, I am fresh to growing by cuttings,
'fraid I was of the 'buy and plant' brigade until recently. Now I find myself with time to spare.

Looked up answers on the general internet, but became confused, so joined this forum.

Have used cloches, bottoms of Cola bottles, for indoor plants. Had to be careful, some cuttings did not like it, but I soon found out which.

Have put six cuttings from my flowering currant in MPC, in a 5" pot on the conservatory table. This has been joined by same size pot with five fuschia cuttings in it.

On the kitchen windowsill are five fuchsia cuttings in water, each in seperate old pill bottles.

Thanks for all the feedback. I need it.

I would use a smaller pot for your fuchsias. 3" would do it. Too much unused compost will just go sour.

Also, keep your cuttings in good light, but not direct (hot) sunlight

Will move them to the study and put them on the window sill, this has an East facing window.

Any ideas about the flowering currant bush, shall I try the same method?

Currants are really easy: hardwood cuttings, about 12" long, all but the top leaves removed ... stick in the ground, leave for a year.

They'll also readily root in water

            Thanks a lot.http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...lies/smile.gif

Will put in at least double cuttings of what I am in need of. May be able to pass some on.
