  • Greenhouse now up and ready for use.

The new greenhouse was bought from B&Q 2 months ago. It's a 6x4 and came in a flat-pack, aluminium frame, galvanized steel base, polycarbonate panels. A friend of mine who is a joiner, built and put in a floor for me, as well as help put it up! When it came to putting in the polycarbonate panels, i dont know how long the friendship will last!!! lol. Anyway it looked the part, then came the wind and rain! no problems, it even withstood the gales we have just had, but the leaks!! anyway prob now solved, with clear sealant. The cost of greenhouse it was on offer for £170 so all in all a neat little start for me next year. I have put in on 1 side, a set of free standing shelves, it will take 2 3ft plastic grow bag trays, so the Toms will have a good start and some warmth. also bought a pack of Kelsae Onion seeds, Radish, cherry-bell, + i saved a few pepper seeds, so all ready to go. I think i will try planting the Onion seeds in December, and see how they go.

Congrats on getting your greenhouse up and running, I've only had mine just a year but I love it to bits.
I've got lettuce planted in mine so that will keep us supplied all winter.
