  • Solar tunnels?

Has anyone got/had/seen/used a solar tunnel? What did you think of it? I am thinking of getting one but don't want to make an expensive mistake. I am attracted to the height they provide and their strength, but cannot find much practical info on them. Honestly any opinions or info on them would be appreciated.

Have a look at 'Cottagesmallholder' website. Fiona has one and loves it. Use the search facility on there and you will find lots to help you decide.

Thats actually where I first saw it I am unable to visit the place where they are sold to view them, so was hoping some people could give their opinions as I am very impressed by fiona at thecottagesmallholder and everything she does and was worried because she says they are good I would get carried away and just get one without any thought, if that makes sense

Although I don't have a solar tunnel, I do have a Haygrove tunnel. These two tunnel designs seam to be similar, to me at least. The woven nature of the polythene adds strength and stops tears. If something is rubbing against the cover it will wear a hole through, but it will not spread.

One year on and I am very pleased with my tunnel. If you have the money, space and inclination for a tunnel, go for it.
Sometimes you just have to scratch that itch and get dirt under your finger nails.

thank-you for your replies, I just need to wrestle some more space off of the family then haha. If I get myself into gear I could be using it in summer
