If you wanted to roof a home built greenhouse (ie not a bought one) with poly carbonate sheeting. Is there a specific type to get or will any do. I ask cos a friend is building one and a couple of people have said that there are different types and one of them is no good for gh roofs. Something to do with UV ....

There are type of polycarb that is coated on one side to reflect the heat in summer but is mainly used on conservatory roofs & is approx 33mm thick. I would imagine that is a little overkill for a GH. I think the corotherm is 10mm thick which is normally used for carports. I think the link I posted is really good value for a fiver a sheet. I can't find anything on P&P though. Yep Corotherm will be fine,make sure the ends are sealed either with the proper capping or the aluminium tape,otherwise all sorts of bugs will make home in the tubes
