  • Best greenhouse Tomatoes

    What do you think are the best tastign greenhouse Toms ?

    Grew Alacante last year that we were given by another plot holder but was not that impressed with them. Also grew cherrys Red nectar and Yellow Debut and loved 'em . So we're lookign for another good tasting tom for this year.

    You thoughts ????

      Haven't a clue....trying new varieties this year . I grew mainly Roma in the gh last year for use in tomato sauce and costulentino fiorentino (wasn't overly impressed) , must say tho my dad grows sweet millions in his and they are very prolific and tasty....

                  My first year last year - planned to do only string, but by the time the greenhouse was up, the tomato plants were 3-4 foot high and VERY flimsy! So we did canes and then strings from the top of the canes to the roof...

                    I found Roma to be a difficult tomato to grow inside a greenhouse, it's unruly and difficult to grow straight up. If you grew it as a bush type thing, it would probably do better, but this would take up too much space in my GH.
