Its just a tip I was given by a pro gardener some years ago I have no idea if it really works but I have done since I obtained my own GH. His reasoning was at this time of year with limited light levels that providing the sun wasn't scorching hot it helped with seedlings.

-0.3 high and +0.9 low last night.

I had tiny toms on the ground (my good ones were inside, these are test subjects ) and they survived.

I'm going to swap round the sensors tonight if I remember and check they are ok, then I'll stick one up in the top of the GH, but it won't be that much higher than it is now, I want to stay the same distance form the glass it is.

Hmm... i've been moving mine this weekend just gone to see - the difference is nominal.. like ±0.1/0.2

I have gravel floor (pea gravel) with a few paving slabs in there.

        Edit: Glass greenhouse, 10 x 6

Have you got two identical sensors?

Yep, sorry - two the same from the greenhouse people. Went specially out to buy a battery for the 2nd one, as it had been in the garage.. (bought it to go outside to compare the temp). Don't think they're a named brand, so not sure how accurate they are. I've tried above the door, hanging from the apex, and wedged by the openers, then lower - on the floor (gravel), on the floor (slab), on staging (lowest part). - each move was inline with the one above.

Not sure if that's a "fair test" ?

I'm going to put my 2 together and check they are working the same. I'm going to look a bit of an idiot if they don't match

Right I checked the sensors overnight and they are within 0.1c of each other. In fact, the sensor which was higher (height) was lower (0.1c) than the other.
                    Onwards!
