I have mine on net curtain wires, also set up on the outside. For the reason that Two_Sheds said - because it stops the glass itself from heating up, and therefore helps to keep the temperature down in the greenhouse, as well as protecting from scorch. Plus, you don't have to faff about with clips on the inside to hold it flat to the glass, and the plants don't get in the way of opening and closing it.

I just used the bog standard shade/wind-break netting, and bought the stretchy net curtain wire in a 25ft length off eBay for a couple of quid.

I have some debris netting that I thought I use if need be, I'm going to tie it to the outside of the greenhouse..

        couple of questions..
        # how did you fix it to the ridge?

        # what about window opening, having just installed auto-openers, wouldn't want to restrict them working.

        # when do you fit the shading?..this week its grey & overcast, do you wait until June?

I have just bought the shading mesh, just need to figure out how to fix it.
