We got the exact same size as you did in March. We decided to get the 'Lads' from First tunnels to erect it, not cheap but worth every penny. They took a day to do it , so it was ready to go straight after. We live in a very high exposed spot and if we had done it, it would no doubt have blown away!!!! How have you gone on with it, this reply is late as I'm always in my tunnel, which hasn't got wi fi!. Hope you are enjoying growing in your new tunnel,as a complete novice to this gardening lark it's interesting to hear what other people are doing.
I bought my tunnel from First back in 2003. My plot slopes steeplydownward in a south east direction but I erected the tunnel south to north in line with the plot boundaries. Getting it square wasn't easy but one that hurdle was conquered, it was quite simple to put up with the help of my then schoolboy son. Holding the skin in place whilst fixing needed two pairs of hands. I bought base plates, base boards and a venting kit and ran out of materials but after a phone call to First, the shortage was remedied very quickly.
We put the cover on our first First polytunnel yesterday. To say I slept well was an understatement.
However, we bought it at Christmas and me and one of the pupils have been building it - in 1-2 hour sessions each fortnight.
Just got to put the last few battens on, and tension it and get the school to sort some water out and we're done!
The other one, even with 2 full time maintenance people at school and them hiring a professional carpenter [who didn't read the destructions] is still not up. So a big achievement for my other school and the one pupil!
